POSITION TITLE:     

Community Support Specialist Substitute

PERSONNEL STATUS:      

$7.99 hour - varied work hours

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High-school diploma.  Able to work with individuals with developmental disabilities. Must be able to work independently and be flexible. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Community Support Specialist ( Substitute) – Assists consumers in developing their basic living skills in providing counseling and training in personal hygiene, meal planning and preparation, house cleanings, money management, and related living skills.  Recognizes and handle behavior issues. Transport the consumers to their appointment in agency van.  Records data daily and completes monthly reports as well as other forms as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1.      Valid driver’s license without any restrictions.

2.      A background investigation will be conducted prior to offer of employment.  A signed authorization for release of personal information will be required.

3.      Random Drug Test

4.      As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. Citizen or an alien authorized to work.
